Statement of faith
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the final authority in life and doctrine.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)
There is one God, eternally existing in three persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19 (NIV)
God created man in His own image to have a relationship with Him.
So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female He created them.
Genesis 1:27 (NIV)
God, out of love for His children, sent His son Jesus Christ to die on a cross for our sins and rise from the dead.
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (NIV)
Christ has all authority on Earth and will return and reign forever.
That power is the same as the mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
Ephesians 1:19a-21 (NIV)
We are saved by grace and through faith in Jesus Christ, and God rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:9-10 (NIV)
All have sinned and are separated from God, but all can be saved.
This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans 3:22-23 (NIV)
We are saved by grace and salvation is available to all who put their faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, who repent of their sins, who confess their faith, and who are baptized.
Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord our God will call.
Acts 2:38-39 (NIV)
As Christians, God calls us to continue obeying his Word and to live a life of good works.
To the Jews who had believed Him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:31-32 (NIV)
The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the task of reaching the lost and discipling the saved, helping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy.
Colossians 1:18 (NIV)
